Method to Answer IELTS Writing Task 1 Question
1- Understand the question , analyse the main features of question.
Understanding the question is extremely important Because , to support the main features, one must analyse the main points and support the facts in main body paragraph.
2- Paraphrase the Question in the Introduction.
Introduction must be rephrased according to the question, please note do not write same key phrases as of the question this will reduce you marks.
3- Write an overview to the Question which contains all the main features of the Question.
overall, must be given after the introduction or in the end of writing task 1 , Highlighting the key features are very important in the overall section of the essay.

The figure illustrates the result of an opinion survey about adult education, why the adults decided to study, and the second chart demonstrates how the cost of educations should be shared. it is clearly evident from sarvey charts, that the two main reasons why adult continued to study, due to there interest in subject and to obtain degree. It is also noticeable in the second pie chart that most of the cost of education should be shared via individuals themselves.
it is clearly evident from the chart, that two main reasons why adults continued the education are, interest in the subject and to gain qualification which is 40% and 38 % respectively . on the other hand 22% adults continued there education because they considered it to be helpful for the current job. 20 % considered education useful to improve prospects of education and the amount adults who kept on studying because they enjoyed learning . which accounted 20 %.
As of the survey, the most cost of education should be shared via individual them self which accounted for 40% of the total cost , and rest 60 % can contributed by employers and taxpayers money.

The figure demonstrates the result of an survey of adult education. over all it is clear from charts that most students were interested in adult education because they had interest in the subject and to gain qualification. 40% of the study cost must be beared by the individual himself as per the opinion survey.
The first chart revels that most students are keen to study due to their interest in the subject which accounted for 40 % of total students . 38 students out 100 raveled that, they participated in adult educated as they are willing to gain qualification. only 22 % students had a strong onion that adult education is helpful for there current job. only a small group of students were convinced that adult education is only good to meet new people and to get able to change job.
From the pie chart it is clear that the individual should be highest cost bearer for there studies which will account for 40 % of total cost , next to that will the employer who will pay 35 % out of the total cost and the least amount should be paid via taxpayers money which is 25 %.

The given diagram shows how the Australian Bureau of Meteorology
collects up-to-the-minute information on the weather in order to give most reliable weather forecast. As it can be observed from the above illustration, the weather information is collected using radars and satellites and drifting buoys and then analysed via other equipments before broadcasting to public.
As it can be seen from the diagram , the weather information is collected using three different equipments namely satellite, radar and drifting buoys. The data collected from settelie is converted into satellite photo, and the raw data collected from the radar is convoyed to radar screen , the data collected from drifting buoys is converted into synoptic chart, this information is now fed to computer system to create a presentable report to its Audience.
Now the final report which is created via long process is broadcasted to audiences via tv screens, radio and recorded announcements.

The complete process involves four major steps starting with collecting the information using different complicated equipments, then analysed using computer programs, and in the last step fed to Audiences using different methods of broadcast.
looking at the diagram it is visible that the first stage involves the collection of data, and the second stages involves the analysis of incoming information using three different methods.
The Second stage, Analysis forecast is performed via satellite photo , radar screen and synoptic chart . now the final report is prepare by computer program, and this final report is broadcasted through tv news readers , radio and recorded announcements.

The bar graph illustrates the money spent on fast fast food item by three different income group and the line graph reveles the change in the demand of fast food from year 1970 to 1990. It is clearly evident from charts that most popular fast food among high income and average income is hamburger.
It can be clearly seen from charts that high income and average income group spent highest amount of money on hamburgers which accounted for 42 and 33 penses respectively. Fish and chips was the most popular fast food among average income group they almost spent 25 pences, on contrary low income groups spent only 16 pences approximately on fish and chips and spent as low as 7 pences on pizza.
The line graph reparents change in the demand of three fast foods products namely hamburgers, pizza and fish and chips from 1970 to 1990. The black line of graph represent that demand for fish and chips gradually decreased from year 1970 to 1990. However the demand for hamburger plunged from 1970 to 1990, more over the demand for pizza also inclined at a slow pace.

The given bar graphs illustrates the the information on , how three family income groups made their decision on fast food consumption. and the the second charts shows how the consumption fast changed from year 1970 to 1990 .
overall it is visible from the bar chart that hamburger were the most bought product by the average income group and high income group both spent 32 pences and 43 pences respectively. on the other hand it is also visible that lower family income were more fond of fish and chips in great Britain.
The line chart shows that the most popular fast food in 1970 was fish and chips, whose popularity gradually kept on decreasing. on contrary the least popular product in year 1970 was pizza whose popularity slowly kept on expanding . when it comes to hamburgers it was the second most popular fast food product in year 1970 but with span of time the products popularity plunged many folds and hamburger became most liked fast food in great britain in year 1990.

The given map illustrates the developments that have taken place in a village name charleywood from year 1868 to year 1994. it is evident that from the diagram the village made four folds developments have taken place in the village.
overall, the map of the Chorleywood village changed completely from initial years , great developments took place including railways, ,motor ways and main roads and the size of the village increased four folds.
on studying the diagram it becomes vivid that in year 1868 there only two major roads. In the next 15 years there were no major developments in the village ,in the time span of 1883 to 1922 a small expansion of village including construction of railways line with chorleywood station took place.
moving ahead from 1922, the development of village started on the other side of the road. It is noticeable that motorways were build in year 1970, and then after from year 1970 to 1994 the population started to settle on both side of motorways. The developments of motorways led to a Rapid development of the village , yet the chorleywood park and golf course remains the centre of attraction of the village.

overall it clearly observed from the diagram that the earliest developments are on the left hand side of the chorleywood park and the golf course, The initial developments took place near the main roads. The second phase of the developments started from 1883 to 1992 , The major construction during this period of time were construction of chorleywood railway station and a small expansion of of the village population.
The major development started when the motor ways was finally constructed in year 1970. after the development of motorways, the rapid development of the village took place, the development started on the other side of the village. yet the golf course remains the main attraction of the village.

The diagram delineates the life cycle of silkworms and phases in manufacturing silk cloth.
Overall, the life cycle of the silkworm consists of four stages that begin with the eggs from a mother worm, and end on the cocoon phase. Likewise, silk production from worms has four main steps – commencing with boiling selected cocoons into waters and ending in the dying process.
First of all, the life cycle of silkworms is initiated by the laying of eggs by the mother worms, and it usually takes 10 days to produce larva. Then the silkworm larva uses mulberry leaves as food. After 4 to 6 weeks, silk thread formation starts and consequently they produce larvae. Cocoons are the end product of silk thread made by larvae that develop within 3 to 8 days.
To produce silk cloth, selected cocoons are put in the boiling water in a container. Next, the larva undergoes unwinding for the development of approximately 300-900 length silk thread. Eventually, adding dye into the thread goes under the process of twisting. Finally, the weave is ready for the dying process, and that is the final step of silk cloth production.

The first diagram represents the stages and times required for the silkworm’s lifecycle, and the second diagram presents the making process of silk cloth.
Generally speaking, the life cycle of silkworms begins with lying eggs on a mulberry leaf by a moth. It takes approximately two months to complete the whole process. Also, the production of silk cloth requires five main steps to finish the procedures.
As we can be seen, the first step of the evolution of silkworms is laying eggs on a leaf by the mother and these eggs take ten days to become larvae. These larvae eat mulberry leaf as their food which is the second step. After these two steps, these larvae are enclosed by silk thread within four to six weeks and transform into a cocoon in between three to eight days. Lastly, the cocoon takes around 16 days to become a moth.
It is noticeable from the production of the silk cloth diagram that the very first step is selecting the cocoon. In the second step, these are then boiled in hot water. After boiling the cocoon, they become threads of 300-900 meters long, and this stage is called the unwind. The next step is the twist in which threads are twisted, and finally, the last process of making silk cloth involves weaving. After weaving these threads, they are ready for drying if it is necessary.

Firstly, the lifecycle of the silkworm begins with laying the eggs which take 10 days to become a larva. The mulberry leaf is the source of food for the larva in this stage. Furthermore, it takes around 4-6 weeks for the larva to form a silk thread in its outer coating. Then within the next 3-8 days, it changes into a cocoon, which later transforms to a moth, which again gives the eggs and the complete process is repeated.
Lastly, In the production stage, only three steps are followed to make silk cloth. It starts by selecting cocoon, which is then boiled in hot water. After completing, the cocoon is unwinded and a 300-900m thread is formed. Finally, it is twisted and weaved and later coloured with the help of dye.

Overall the life cycle of a silkworm is completed in 4 stages, in around 10 to 11 weeks, while the silk production comprises 5 stages.

The given chart show that number of the free time enjoyed by the men and women in the typical weeaks from 1998 to 1999. As it an be seen from pie cart that, the unemployed and retired men and women had enjoyed more leisure time than employed and other type of people.
Among the unemployed men and women, men enjoyed the most leisure time which is around 85 hours in a week and the women’s enjoyed around 75 hours of leisure time. Now retired men and women enjoyed the second highest amount of leisure which is around 83 hours for men and 74 hours for women.
moving ahead its is visible that housewife’s had also enjoyed a considerable amount of leisure time which is around 58 hours a week. Now data for men employed part time is not available as par the bar chart but women worked and also enjoyed 40 hours of leisure time. Employed men enjoyed more leisure time than than female counterparts , The major points in bar graph highlight that men enjoyed more leisure time than that of women .

The bar graph compares the amount of leisure time enjoyed by different employments status in a typical week from year 1998-99.
Given that there is no data which represent the part time employments of men, For the other cases it is vivid that all men enjoyed have more leisure time for same employment status as compared to women. The most leisure time was enjoyed by the those who are unemployed and the second most leisure time was enjoyed by retired men and women. On the contrary employed men and women had enjoyed 50 and 38 hours respectively, now movin ahead the part time employed people women enjoyed approximately 40 hours of leisure time during there work of part time, it is noticeable that no data is visible for the part time employment of men.
overall it can summarized from the bar chart that the men enjoyed more leisure time than that of female counter parts.

The bar graph illustrates the number of imprisonments in five countries namely Great Britain , Australia , New zealand , United states and canada between year 1930 to 1980.
overall, Great britain had least number of prisoner in year 1930 and and canada had highest number of prisoners in the same year, on the other hand after 50 years, the number of detainees United states had was the highest and Australia had leat prisoners among all five countries.
Initially, in year 1930 canada had the highest numbers of prisoners which is around 120 thousands which is the highest number among all the countries. in the same year New Zealand and United States had the prisoners around 100 thousands, And Australia in the same had least number of prisoners among all. After a decade, prisoners’ number in Britain remained almost the same while the number decreased in Australia, New Zealand and Canada. But this year the total number of prisoners increased in the US by 30 thousand and reached to 130 thousand. In 1950, the prisoners’ number increased in Britain and slightly decreased in Australia and New Zealand. On the other hand, the prisoner in Canada increased and got highest among the five countries and decreased in the US. A similar trend in terms of prisoner numbers in these countries could be observed after a decade. Finally, in 1980, the prisoners’ number in these countries increased except in Australia. The US had the highest number of prisoners in this year and Great Britain, Canada and New Zealand had more than 80 thousand prisoners in this year.
