People are surrounded by advertising, which has an increasing effect, on our lives. Do you think the positive effects of this outweigh the negative effects?
Model Answer 1:-
Whether it is on TV, radio, or hoardings at the side of the road, advertisements have become a part of our lives. Advertising is a powerful and persuasive medium. I believe that the beneficial effects of ads overpower the detrimental ones.
On the positive side, advertisements provide us with information on new products. if it was not for electronic and print advertising, many products would not be bought. ln this way, advertising provides an important service to manufacturers and some consumers. Additionally, it fuels the advertising industry, creating jobs for thousands of people. ln, this respect it has become the backbone of many economies of the world.
Furthermore, advertisements touch social issues. For example, when Amitabh Bachhan tells people to bring their children for pulse polio immunization, people listen. Then, there are ads against female foeticide which are very informative. Advertisements also teach a lot about the country from where the ads come from. This is because through satellite we can see ads from all over the world. For instance, when we see a Japanese advert for a lady in a kimono, we come to know about the traditional clothes ofJapan. However, adverts also have a downside. Because of advertisements, sometimes we buy what tempts us without the insight of what we need actually. impressive images, videos, or captions are bound to leave an imprint on us. Secondly, ads are very disturbing at times. Television commercials are a great example of this. Just as we are enjoying a TV program, a commercial break occurs, forcing us to listen. Then, ads show dangerous stunts, which may be copied by children and they may get hurt. Finally, some ads target vulnerable children and so children pester their parents to buy things that can upset the family budget. To conclude, adverts have their advantages and disadvantages. indubitably, the merits outstrip the demerits. The onus lies on us to look into our real needs and not be swayed by adverts.

Model Answer 3:-
Nowadays, people’s lifestyle has changed a great deal because of next-level advertisements. Due to adverts, they buy modern and advanced commodities which make their lives easier than before. However, sometimes they spend money extravagantly under the influence of adverts. I think the benefits of advertisements outweigh their drawbacks.
While looking at the positive side of advertisements, it makes people’s life comfortable. As they get to know about the latest and better version of several products, so they purchase them to facilitate themselves and their families. While growing advertisement campaigns in every field of life provide people with useful information, for instance, objects, medical procedures, and instruments, people keep improving their lifestyles by buying these advanced products. They bring a better version of things at homes and workplaces which also ease and satisfy them. Moreover, it improves the economy too when people demand products and manufacturers supply them. Therefore, advertisements have certain loud benefits for people.
As far as drawbacks are concerned, sometimes people are triggered by persuasive advertisements that they purchase products without their need. In other words, it increases the temptation of people and they spend money to satisfy their desire. This can cause a chaotic situation, for instance, a sort of competition among people to get whatever they see in advertisements without realizing its true need.
In my opinion, although advertisements intrigue people to buy more and more, they convey information about every latest product in the market. Now it depends on people not to buy things unless they require them genuinely. Apart from increased consumerism, which can be controlled by people themselves, advertisements have major and obvious benefits in life, such as comfort, facilitation, and improvements. Therefore, its advantages in everyday life are more significant than its disadvantages.
